This group was organized in May 2003 by neighbors of Mr. & Mrs. Yokota who lived in the same condominium to support the couple's activities.
We support the Yokotas by organizing scrapbooks and signatures gathered through petitions at the exhibits and other public areas, by helping them make documents when the Yokotas need to send letters, visit foreign countries, and have an important foreign visitor. We have also visited 10 embassies, including those of the United States and China, to directly appeal for support in this rescue effort for abduction victims.

The Yokota's named our group "Asagao-no-kai " after the flower, "morning glory", a pressed flower of which Megumi gave to Hitomi Soga (another abductee), and which is also her favorite flower.
